Privacy

The short version

We collect as little personal information as we can, we never sell it, and we take extra care with information about students and other minors.

What we collect

• Forms you send us (contact, photo submissions, Student Media and other interest forms): the details you type in, such as name, email and message. We use them to reply and to run the program you asked about.
• Basic site statistics: aggregate, anonymous counts (for example how many times a page or a sponsor logo was viewed). We do not use advertising cookies or sell or share visitor profiles.
• Staff and contributor accounts: a name, email address and a securely hashed password for people who sign in to help run BSN.

Athletes and students

Team rosters show only sports information: name, jersey number, position, grade and, optionally, height, weight and a photo. We do not publish or store athletes' home addresses, personal phone numbers, personal email addresses or birthdates. Individual player pages are off unless the site administrators turn them on.

Student Media participants appear publicly only with a parent or guardian's consent and an editor's approval. A parent, guardian or student can ask us to remove a name, photo, credit or profile at any time through our contact page.

Sharing

We share information only with service providers that host or operate the site, when required by law, or with your permission. Video may be delivered through third-party players (for example YouTube or Vimeo); those services have their own privacy policies and may set their own cookies when you press play.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct or delete information you gave us by contacting us. We keep form submissions only as long as needed for the purpose you gave them.

Security

Passwords are stored as salted hashes, sessions expire, access to administrative tools is limited by role, and important actions are logged.
